Lighting Workshop Module #4

For this assignment, we are tasked with choosing one of five asset packs and lighting the scene within using all of the techniques we learned throughout the last couple of weeks. I decided to go with the Detective's Office and gathered references that focus on warm and desaturated interior lighting during a sunset.

Lighting Workshop Module #3

For this assignment, we are tasked with creating two different lighting scenarios using a specific asset, a 3-Point Lighting one, and an Environment one, pretty much combining our first two modules, but with both of them focusing on the same model. Since I'm an animator, I added a model of a Chess Board off of FAB.

Lighting Workshop Module #2

For this assignment, we are tasked with creating our own environment, lighting the scene, and uploading multiple shots, making sure to use depth in some of them, and making sure to include 4 spheres to check our lighting values. The environment I created is the interior of a house, using a variety of models I got from FAB.

Lighting Workshop Module #1

This assignment has us tasked with setting up both a 3-Point Neutral Lighting and Colored Lighting setup for two different 3D model scans. The model scans I went with were "Head of Saint John the Baptist" on a Platter, and "Le Transi de Rene de Chalon."

Week 15 Final - 'A' Stage

This submission is for the final stage of our Unreal VR Project, the 'A' Stage.

For this submission, our group mainly focused on fixing and polishing up what we had in stage 'B'. I created a model of a manhole cover and textured. It's used in the starter map. I also textured one of the interactable props, a skull, which was modeled by Will. Other than that, I created some graffiti-like text, which is used along the wall of the play space. I also very slightly modified the walk cycle of Alice by changing the position of her feet in order to attempt to fix the issue where it appears she's sliding along the floor from the previous stage.

Thank you for reading and for seeing the project to the end! Peace and take care! ✌️

Week 12 CBB - 'B' Stage

This submission is for the 'B' Stage of our Unreal VR Project.

For this submission, I added two new animations for Alice: one where she turns around, and one where she grows big when you first enter the play area as a sort of introduction. I also updated two of her animation: I updated her walk animation, so that her arms don't swing around as much and she takes smaller steps (since she wouldn't really do that in such a confined space), and I updated her hit animation so that she doesn't stumble back as far as she did before and she looks around afterwards. I did wind up updating the thumbs up rabbit hand pose as well so that the thumb is not pointing up as much, causing the mesh to stretch out.

Other than that, I added some sound effects to some of the grabbable objects (specifically the skull, Chinese takeout container, mushroom, paper cup, pipe, and book).

Week 11 First Pass - 'C' Stage

This submission is for the 'C' stage of our Unreal VR Project.

For this submission, I added two new Alice animations, including a "warning", which is planned to play when Alice is in front of the player, so it gives the player a chance to throw something at her to repel her before she shakes three times and grabs the player. To pair with that, I created a "hit" animation, which plays when a player successfully throws something at her. Besides the new animations, I also edited the ones I made previously. The main changes I made were making the shaking from the idle more subtle, and adjusting the legs since an IK handle was added to the rig. Besides that, I animated the rabbit hands so that they have proper animations for each of the six stages that I posed in the last stage.
